Just In: Kentucky confirmed the departure of five key players from…

Illinois landed a commitment from Will Riley on Sunday, who chose the Illini after taking official other official visits to ArizonaKentucky, and Alabama in recent months.

Riley, who stars for the Phelps School in Pennsylvania and the Uplay Canada grassroots program, had ascended all the way up to five-star status as the No. 9 ranked prospect in the 2025 class this spring after averaging over 22 points per game in the recent EYBL regular season. He also averaged over 3 assists and 3 rebounds per game, according to Synergy Sports, while shooting 47% on two-point field goals, 28% behind the arc, and 75% from the free-throw line.

Pickerington (Ohio) North wide receiver Preston Bowman (6-foot, 195) committed to Kentucky Saturday and within 24 hours he was reporting an offer from the hometown Buckeyes. Bowman camped at Ohio State in June and tells CatsPause.com that he is “still locked on UK” despite the offer.

“Every time I go there, I feel like I am at a home away from home. Then, Anthony Brown, that is my guy. Having him around and mentoring me while I’m there, it was great. I loved everything [about my official visit],” Bowman said.

“[Brown and I] met at a camp in Wittenburg. We both won MVP, got each others social media and then from there just connected more and more. We just got close. The rest is history. I am so excited to see him play. He has put on some pounds and he is so fast. Barion [Brown] is cool. Even having that much fame from making plays, you would think they act kinda Hollywood but that is not him at all. When I first got there, he went up to me and was like, ‘what up, bro? How are you doing?’ and guiding me around. They all treat me like family. They could have walk past me. Everyone was having a conversation with me
