Neil Diamond married for the third time.

Neil Diamond, an American artist, married his manager Katie McNeil last weekend.

The 71-year-old music superstar married Ms McNeil, 42, in Los Angeles in front of her close family and friends. “Katie and I got married last night, we wish you all could’ve been there,” Mr Diamond wrote on Twitter. “It was magical!” “Love, Neil.”

The two met while working on the 2009 television documentary “Neil Diamond: Hot August Night/NYC,” which Ms McNeil executive produced. Last September, the pair confirmed their engagement on Twitter.

The wedding occurs 17 years after Mr Diamond’s divorce from second wife Marcia Murphy, which resulted in a historic $150 million payout for Ms Murphy.

The musician has two kids with his second wife, and two girls with his first wife, Jayne Posner. This is Ms. McNeil’s first marriage.

Neil Diamond is well known for his part in the 1980s film “The Jazz Singer” and his famous songs, including “Sweet Caroline” and “I Am…I Said”.
