Watch Jarvis Cocker Perform “Just Like Honey” at Medimex With The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Although technically the Jesus and Mary Chain are on tour in support of their recently released album Glasgow Eyes, their current set lists largely mirror their back catalog. They both performed on Sunday at the Italian festival Medimex, along with Pulp. The Mary Chain then invited Jarvis Cocker to sing their 1985 hit song “Just Like Honey.”

Pulp also played “Bar Italia,” a Different Class fan favorite, for the first time in twelve years that same evening. Watch the performance snippets below.

Pulp was the main act on Sunday at the Medimex festival in Taranto, Italy, which took place this past weekend. The Jesus and Mary Chain performed right before Pulp. Jarvis Cocker, the front man of Pulp, was invited to Italy by JAMC, who are known for inviting special guests to sing backing vocals on their classic Psychocandy single “Just Like Honey.” Watch that down below.

In addition, singer Rachel Conte performed a rendition of “Girl 71” from the band’s recently released album Glasgow Eyes. The Mary Chain performed a number of well-known songs, such as “Happy When it Rains,” “Head On,” “Blues from a Gun,” “Reverence,” and “A Taste of Cindy.”

Pulp’s headline set featured a number of hits, including “Common People,” “Disco 2000,” “Do You Remember the First Time,” “Like a Friend,” and the appropriately named Different Class deep cut “Bar Italia,” which the band hadn’t performed since 2012.

This autumn, Pulp will embark on their first North American tour in a decade, and The Jesus and Mary Chain will embark on a tour alongside The Psychedelic Furs.
