2024 is led by Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Throughout their WNBA and college careers, Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, members of the All-Star team, have been bitter rivals. The two celebrities will be teammates for the first time in a few days.
In the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game in Phoenix on July 20, the league announced on Tuesday, the two rookie sensations will be teammates on the 12-player Team WNBA roster that will take on the U.S. Women’s National Team.

Aliyah Boston, a teammate for the Fever, received 618,680 votes to win Rookie of the Year last year. With 381,518 votes, Reese, a forward for the Chicago Sky and the seventh overall pick in the 2024 draft, came in fifth place.
The only rookies on Team WNBA are Clark and Reese.

Even at USA Basketball, I don’t think I’ve ever been her teammate before. “I hope it doesn’t take away from everyone else, but I know people will be really excited about it,” Clark said to reporters following the Fever’s Tuesday 88-69 loss to the Las Vegas Aces. “This is a tremendous accomplishment for all members of Team WNBA and Team USA. They all merit the same recognition. It wouldn’t be fair to them if it took precedence over all of that and became the main attraction during All-Star weekend.
Reese was named the league’s June Player of the Month and is currently riding an 11-game winning streak with a double-double.
Following the Sky’s 85-77 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday, Reese became emotional upon discovering that she was on the roster.
“I’m simply overjoyed. After the game, Reese told reporters, “I know the work I put in.” “A lot of people didn’t believe that I could play in the league and that I would not be the same player that I was in college when I first entered the league. I’m incredibly grateful to my coaches and teammates for having faith in and confidence in me.
Indiana guard Kelsey Mitchell was also named to the squad, in addition to Clark and Boston. The Fever have the most players of any team—three—on the Team WNBA All-Star roster.
