Joe Biden Gets Poll Boost in 2 Key Swing States
President Joe Biden is leading Donald Trump in two key battleground states, according to a new poll.
The Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll, published on Saturday, found that overall Biden is trailing Trump by just 2 percent across seven swing states.
Biden is leading Trump in Michigan, 48 percent to 43 percent, and in Wisconsin, 47 percent to 44 percent, according to the poll.
But in Pennsylvania, where Biden grew up, he is trailing Trump, who has 51 percent of support compared to the president’s 44 percent. The incumbent is also behind Trump in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina, although he is within the poll’s statistical margin of error in those states.
The poll surveyed 4,902 registered voters in the seven swing states between July 1 and 5. The margin of error was 1 percentage point.
