Confirmed: Dallas Cowboys are bringing him back……

Fans of the Cowboys will enjoy hearing Dak Prescott’s response to the most recent contract inquiries.
Although Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, is due for a contract extension, he isn’t concerned about it at the moment.

During his football camp this week, Prescott was asked how the contract negotiations were going and revealed to reporters that he was thinking of one thing in particular.

As you are all aware, I’ve been letting my agent handle that, but there have been back-and-forth conversations as well,” Prescott stated, as reported by Jon Machota of The Athletic. “Especially now that training camp has begun. On the first day of training camp, my focus naturally shifts to supporting my team and doing everything in my power both on the football field and within the organization to ensure that I play at my best and that everyone around me plays at their best. The money and everything else will sort itself out, as they always have.”

Although money hasn’t been the driving force since Prescott attended the Cowboys’ required minicamp and optional OTAs, it may still be significant in the back of his mind.

The Cowboys have only been hurting themselves by keeping their quarterback unpaid, and Prescott could sign a $60 million yearly extension given Trevor Lawrence’s recent five-year, $55 million contract.

Prescott has no contract restrictions and is scheduled to become a free agent in 2024, so it helps that he has complete control over whether to stay or leave if Dallas doesn’t offer him what he wants.

It is anticipated that a new agreement will be reached by or during the July 21 start of Cowboys training camp.

Not only is Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott awaiting a new contract, but defensive end Micah Parsons and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb are also in search of their next big payday.
