Majid Balogun, who was recently released from Old Trafford after graduating from the Manchester United academy, has signed a contract with West Ham United.
The 16-year-old striker, who came to United from Lambeth Tigers in 2022, was once on the club’s U18 roster before being let go. He’s hoping that being at West Ham will provide him more chances to showcase his abilities.

Balogun did not receive a professional contract offer from Manchester United despite his promising performance there. Even so, he still has plenty of time to grow and could thrive in West Ham’s system at just 16 years old.
Though a number of academy players have made it into Manchester United’s first team, West Ham will be hoping that Balogun is a talent that slipped through the cracks and can make an impact for the Hammers.
It may be the ideal setting for Balogun to blossom and realize his full potential because the East London club has a reputation for fostering the development of young talent.
Balogun is talented and genuinely motivated to succeed. Everyone will be observing him closely as he gets used to his new club and the challenge it presents.
