Port Adelaide just announce a devastating news….

LIVE AFL: Suns’ home streak in danger as Power look to continue historic dominance

The Gold Coast Suns are looking to prolong their home-ground dominance on Sunday against Port Adelaide, having won all six fixtures at People First Stadium this season.

The Suns (8-8, 105.3%) were given a post-game bake by coach Damien Hardwick after last Saturday’s defeat to North Melbourne, and they return to familiar surrounds in Round 18.

Meanwhile, the Power (10-6, 104.8%) have found form, looking to extend their two-game winning streak as pressure on Ken Hinkley is relieved for the time being.

In a blow to Gold Coast’s finals effort, instrumental midfielder Touk Miller (wrist) will miss a considerable stint, with Hardwick’s Suns making five changes at selection.

The Power made just one swap to the side that destroyed the Western Bulldogs in Round 17, recalling veteran forward Charlie Dixon for Mitch Georgiades (suspension).

Historically, Port Adelaide has had its way with Gold Coast, holding a 14-1 all-time advantage against the expansion outfit. Further, the Suns have never beaten the Power at home in Carrara — making for an intriguing storyline as the home-happy Suns look to stretch that streak further.

The Power are also 6-1 (86 per cent win rate) in Carrara since the start of the 2020 season.

The match gets underway at 1:10pm AEST from People First Stadium.

Watch it live on Fox Footy (channel 504), streaming on Kayo or via Hubbl from 12:45pm AEST.
