Great and joyful news “He is back” Blue Bombers bring an update about a star who was….

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2-4) and Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-1) meet at Mosaic Stadium Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET (CFL+/TSN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Blue Bombers vs. Roughriders odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Blue Bombers are coming off a 41-37 win as 6-point home favorites over the Calgary Stampeders July 12 with the Over (47.5) hitting. QB Zach Collaros (2 TD, 2 INT) had his 1st TD pass of the year for Winnipeg, which has won back-to-back games.

The Roughriders failed to cover as 7-point underdogs in a 35-20 loss at the BC Lions Saturday as the Over (51) cashed. QB Shea Patterson, who was starting in place of QB Trevor Harris (knee), threw for 278 yards and an INT on 17-of-25 passing.

Winnipeg was 2-1 straight up and against the spread (ATS) vs. Saskatchewan last season, and the Over went 3-0. In their most recent meeting Sep. 9, 2023, the Blue Bombers covered as 8.5-point home favorites with a 51-6 win.

The Blue Bombers (-210) should win their 3rd straight game, but it’s hard to be profitable long term betting into lines with this much vig

The Roughriders, on the other hand, are moving in the opposite direction. They started the season 4-0 straight up and ATS, but the reality is setting in that Patterson isn’t capable of producing at Harris’ level.

The surging Blue Bombers are the only side I would look to back in this matchup. However, Winnipeg -1.5 (-105) was available Thursday morning, and the line moving past the key number of 3 has made it much less attractive.
