SWEDEN – Standout Huskie women’s hockey alumni Camryn Drever and Isabella Pozzi are set to reunite on the ice, with the pair each inking one-year deals with Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League.
Skellefteå AIK was recently promoted to the Swedish Women’s Hockey League (Svenska damhockeyligan or SDHL) after having previously competed in the NDHL (Nationella Damhockeyligan). The team defeated AIK in two games in March to earn the promotion to the highest level of women’s hockey in Sweden.
For goaltender Camryn Drever, she heads overseas following a record-setting season in her final year wearing green and white. The Edmonton, Alberta product set a new Huskie record for wins in a season, earning 15 victories while recording 5 shutouts, a 1.33 goals against average, and the best save percentage in the nation. For her incredible performance between the pipes, she was recognized as the Canada West Player and Goaltender of the Year and would later add a U SPORTS second team All-Canadian nod to her resume. The 2023-24 season cemented Drever as one of the best goalies in Huskie history, finishing her career with 39 wins, a 1.47 goals against average, a .942 save percentage, and 1771 total saves, which all rank within the top 5 in program history. In addition to her
impressive career with the Huskies, Drever appeared on the international stage during her time at the University of Saskatchewan, representing Canada at the 2023 FISU World University Games where she earned a gold medal.
