Bruce Springsteen has just announce not to perform again….

Bruce Springsteen has been enjoying a huge few weeks on music charts all around the world. His albums and songs have been surging lately, due to exciting new releases, special holidays, and even a recent interview that propelled one of his classic albums back to prominence.

This week, Springsteen reappears on the U.K. songs chart. The rocker is back not with a new single or an undiscovered gem from his catalog, but instead, with one of his earliest smashes.

“Dancing in the Dark” returns to the list of the most-consumed songs in the U.K. this frame. The tune isn’t just back—it’s a top 40 smash all over again.

The single reappears on the U.K. songs chart at No. 36 this week. The smash reappears inside the region that typically defines when a charting title becomes a proper hit—though it’s not new to this arena.

“Dancing in the Dark” has previously topped out at No. 4 on the U.K. songs list. The cut first appeared on the ranking in May 1984, but it didn’t peak until February of the following year. It stalled in fourth place for two frames before slowly falling away.

Springsteen’s first huge win in the U.K. hasn’t been seen on the tally for over a decade. The last time that “Dancing in the Dark” appeared on the songs chart in the country was back in 2013. That year, it returned and spent one frame at No. 87.

“Dancing in the Dark” hasn’t found space inside the top 40 for decades. It last landed in that region in April 1985, when it was still reaching audiences across the pond, and Springsteen was just getting started.
