Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx Pens Heartfelt Tribute to Aerosmith: “Thank You for Everything”
With fans knowing of the larynx injury Steven Tyler suffered back in September 2023, the singer consciously focused on his recovery. He hoped to return to the stage but that day never came as they announced the end of Aerosmith. Gaining a great deal of praise from fans and fellow stars, Sixx recently took a moment to honor Aerosmith and reveal how much they impacted him throughout his younger years.
Sharing a post on Facebook, Sixx wrote, “In 1973, a fifteen-year-old kid named Frank Feranna walked into a record store alone and emerged with the first Aerosmith album in hand. I would carry that album with me everywhere, including to friends’ houses, confessing to them that this was the future of rock ‘n’ roll. As the years rolled on, my opinion never changed. Lyrically, musically, rhythmically, and especially with those monster songs, Aerosmith was unparalleled.”
