Gold Coast Suns suffered a defeat in their last league encounter against West Coast Eagles, which ended 97-87. However, that defeat was Gold Coast Suns’ third in a row and their fourth in five consecutive matches. In that run of matches, the Gold Coast Suns’ lone victory came against Port Adelaide Power in a home game that ended 96-82. However, this team lost to North Melbourne Kangaroos, GWS Giants, and Brisbane Lions in other encounters. The Gold Coast Suns have accumulated 36 points from 20 matches this season and are presently seated 13th in the standings.
The Gold Coast Suns are not at their best right now, and on the road, it is okay to be underdogs. However, despite working very hard to make the playoffs, the Essendon Bombers are not one of the sides that have shown they can compete so well.
