Heartbreaking: Pantera has announce unexpected announcement about….

Pantera played a last-minute club show at Minneapolis’ First Avenue on Thursday night (August 15th), ahead of their support slot on Metallica’s “M72 World Tour” tonight (August 16th) at nearby US Bank Stadium. The gig featured a surprise appearance by Metallica’s Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo during the song “Walk.”

Tickets went on sale just two days before the First Avenue concert, with fans eagerly scooping them up. Concertgoers were treated to a 12-song set, including classics like “A New Level,” “I’m Broken,” “Cowboys From Hell,” and the rarely performed “Yesterday Don’t Mean Shit.

The biggest surprise came when Hammett and Trujillo ran onstage from the sidelines and helped sing the anthemic chorus to “Walk.” Each of the Metallica members received big hugs from Pantera singer Philip Anselmo as they yelled the iconic “Re-spect / Walk” line in their respective mics.

Pantera have been supporting the Friday shows in each city of Metallica’s “M72 World Tour,” which sees the latter band playing two unique sets over two nights in each town on Fridays and Sundays.

The final North American leg of the outing recently launched and runs through a September 29th show in Mexico City, with tickets for the upcoming dates available here.
