Linkin Park Sees Two Iconic Songs Return To The Charts
Linkin Park claims a catalog filled with some of the most recognizable hits in the last quarter-century of rock music. While the band may not be creating anything new, fans of the beloved group are still consuming the smashes they made years–or even decades–ago
Two of Linkin Park’s biggest hits return to the same chart in the U.K. this week. Both blast onto the Official Rock & Metal Singles list, which ranks the bestselling rock and metal tracks in the country. Impressively, in addition to their comebacks, the band was already present on the roster with several other smashes.
Between their comebacks, Linkin Park’s “What I’ve Done” ranks highest. That single breaks back onto the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart at No. 28. It’s now lived on the list for 433 weeks, and it occasionally steps away, only to return, as it never really fades from popularity.
A few spots further down on the same chart comes another Linkin Park favorite. “Crawling” lands at No. 35 on the Official Rock & Metal Singles tally. That cut has spent much less time on the roster than “What I’ve Done,” with 76 turns on the list.
Linkin Park doubles their total number of appearances on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart this week with their pair of returning wins. Two more hits from the same band were already present on the list last frame, and they’re both on the rise.
The hard rock outfit appears highest on the ranking with “Numb,” which has long been one of their most successful tracks. That tune currently sits at No. 14 on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart as it hits 850 weeks on the ranking.
Just behind “Crawling,” further down on the roster, comes yet another smash from the band. Linkin Park’s “One Step Closer” lifts a few rungs to No. 38 this frame. Coincidentally, that cut is also enjoying a milestone, as it’s now lived on this list for 100 weeks.
