Marilyn Manson has officially kicked off the latest chapter of his music career with a brand new single. The rocker released “As Sick As The Secrets Within” in early August, and it quickly became a hit on the Billboard charts. As the tune arrives, it helps the controversial artist reach a special milestone, one which he’s been working toward for years

“As Sick As The Secrets Within” debuts at No. 1 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this week. The tune sold 1,300 copies in its first tracking week, according to Luminate, which proved to be a large enough sum that it easily starts in first place on Billboard’s ranking of the bestselling hard rock-only tracks.

Of course, as it hits No. 1, “As Sick As The Secrets Within” also becomes another top 10 smash for Manson. This latest win marks his tenth trip to the top 10 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales tally.

Manson has been inching closer and closer to this milestone for more than a decade. He first landed on the roster back in 2011. That year, his “This Is Halloween” debuted on the ranking. Two years later, it reached its peak of No. 5.

“As Sick As The Secrets Within” marks Manson’s second leader on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. He earned his inaugural ruler in mid-2020 with “We Are Chaos,” which reached the top spot one week after debuting on the purchase-only roster.

Manson has thus far placed 13 tracks somewhere on the hard rock sales tally. The list now only features 10 spaces, but it used to be longer–when more fans were interested in purchasing tunes, and not just streaming them. All but three of his chart wins have cracked the highest tier on the list.
