So many nu metal acts are rolling around out there, celebrating various milestones and anniversaries, but Linkin Park is still nowhere to be seen. Naturally, that’s because of the untimely death of vocalist Chester Bennington, but the band may not stay silent for long.
In a recent post on his website, co-frontman Mike Shinoda hinted that something would be coming in the near future.
Though he never gets specific, it’s hard not to draw conclusions and think this has something to do with a Linkin Park reunion. We’ve been hearing for a while that there was a possibility of the band getting back together. From Orgy‘s Jay Gordon potentially spilling the beans about a woman taking Chester’s place in a potential reunion, to him having to retract his comments, to actual rumors coming out that the band was seeking a woman to help front Linkin Park, it sounds more and more like a real possibility.
As it stands, any talk of a Linkin Park reunion is just hearsay. Still, with Shinoda mentioning something “exciting” being planned for fans, it’s hard not to think something’s up…
