Minnesota Vikings News and Links: Roster Cuts Rule the Day as Team Prepares for Week 1

The deadline for NFL teams isn’t for about another 20ish hours (3 pm central on Tuesday), but the Minnesota Vikings and other teams have gotten a jump-start on the process now that teams aren’t making cuts throughout the preseason, but at the end of it en masse.

Vikings Make 1st Wave of Roster Cuts for 2024

Waived on Monday were the following:

• Quarterback Matt Corral
• Running back DeWayne McBride
• Tight end Sammis Reyes
• Running back Mo Ibrahim
• Cornerback Jaylin Williams
• Tight end Neal Johnson
• Wide receiver Justin Hall
• Outside linebacker Owen Porter
• Offensive lineman Chuck Filiaga
• Offensive lineman Doug Nester
• Offensive lineman Matt Cindric
• Offensive lineman Spencer Rolland
• Offensive lineman Tyler Manoa

Additionally, cornerback A.J. Green III had his contract terminated; unlike the others, he’s eligible to sign elsewhere immediately. Offensive lineman Dalton Risner was placed on injured reserve, and will be ineligible to return for the first four weeks of the season.
