Live NRL updates: Warriors v Bulldogs round 25 and Shaun Johnson retirement

The Warriors ran out in front of their home crowd for the last time in 2024 to face the Bulldogs at Mt Smart Stadium at 8pm on Friday.

The game is the last at The Fortress for retiring Shaun Johnson, along with Addin Fonua-Blake and Jazz Tevaga who both depart the club at the end of the season.

With their own season all but over, the Warriors are looking to upset the Bulldogs, who currently sit fifth on the NRL ladder and are charging toward the finals.

The business end of the NRL season has arrived with a host of injuries and suspensions to key players rocking the competition.

Reece Walsh and Nathan Cleary are major additions to their club’s respective casualty wards, with the duo set for extended periods on the sidelines along with Ezra Mam, Alex Johnston and Mitch Moses.

Broncos injury news: 

Kobe Hetherington failed a HIA in Round 25 against the Eels and will miss at least one week.

Reece Walsh pushed through the pain barrier in Round 23 with scans later revealing he suffered a metacarpal fracture. The club will consult with a specialist before determining the next course of action.

Payne Haas suffered a Lisfranc injury against the Titans in Round 22. However, he could be back on deck this week after being included in the extended squad.

Jack Gosiewski suffered a broken arm just a few minutes into his side’s game against the Warriors in Round 17. He is expected to be out for around two months.

Jock Madden suffered a torn hamstring against the Panthers in Round 18 and is likely to be sidelined for an extended period.

Ezra Mam suffered a syndesmosis injury in the first half of Brisbane’s match against the Titans in Round 22 and will miss the remainder of the season.
