James Franklin has just announce unexpected news…

Penn State fans clown West Virginia as the offseason of delusion finally ends

In 2023, West Virginia won nine games and Neal Brown saved his job. The Mountaineers did not, however, beat Penn State and only beat two teams that went to a bowl game. Yet, delusional Mountaineers fans from West by god Virginia spent the entire offseason talking up Brown, Garrett Greene, and their painfully average team.

WVU fans were convinced that Penn State was overrated and would lose in Morgantown in Week 1. Well, that didn’t happen. The Nittany Lions had an offensive explosion behind new offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki, winning 34-12. Now, Penn State fans have a chance to get their revenge.

It wasn’t just that West Virginia, which has only beaten Penn State nine times in 61 tries, believed it would pull off the upset, but all of Morgantown treated a Week 1 non-conference game like the Super Bowl, canceling classes for the Pat McAfee show to come to town.

Once Drew Allar, the target of much of the social media hate from WVU fans, got into a rhythm with his new play-caller, the game was over. The Mountaineers only gained 246 yards and the No. 4 rushing offense in the country from last season, which returned three 750-yard rushers, was held to 85 yards on the ground.

Penn State fans were surprised by the outcomes because they’re familiar with this type of offseason back-and-forth from a delusional fanbase.
