Bills’ Spencer Brown Reacts to Contract Extension

Just days before their first game of the 2024 season, the Buffalo Bills locked up one of their key offensive players, signing right tackle Spencer Brown to a four-year extension, keeping him in Buffalo until 2028. Brown reacted to his extension in a press conference following the signing on Friday, emphasizing his excitement to stay in Buffalo. “Buffalo’s the city for me,” Brown said. “Fans are absolutely unbelievable. It’s what showing up to work every single day, that much better when you have fans, backing you 100%. And then, just along with everybody that we have in the locker room. I don’t think that the vibe that we have in the locker room and the relationships that we have are going to be seen around the NFL a lot.” Brown continued, speaking about how he’s prepared for expectations to change after his extension. “And then [Brandon] Beane in the front office, showing belief in me that I was doing the right things,” said Brown. “And I told Beane ‘I went from proving everybody wrong, and now I gotta start proving everybody right.’ So I look forward to that.”

Brown has been with the Bills since they selected him in the third round of the 2021 draft. Brown started all 17 games for the Bills at right tackle in 2023, when Buffalo’s offensive line allowed the fewest amount of sacks in the league.
