Deshaun Watson Dissed by Browns Teammate in Viral Video After Week 1 Loss

Speculation is swirling that the  Cleveland Browns locker room could be turning on Deshaun Watson after the team’s blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Watson was making his highly-anticipated return after being limited to just six games last season due to shoulder injuries. It didn’t go as planned during the lopsided 33-17 loss. Watson was under constant pressure, finishing with 169 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Most of Watson’s production came in the second half with the Browns already down big to the Cowboys. A moment in the second half caught the attention of Browns fans. It showed Browns veteran guard Joel Bitonio slapping Watson’s hand away. Bitonio had just jumped on Watson’s fumble. “Anyone else see Bitonio refuse help from Watson after he recovers his fumble?? Not a great sign…” one fan wrote. Bitonio is a leader in the Browns’ locker room and a former Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. The game situation could have played a role in Bitonio’s harsh reaction. The Browns were being steamrolled and Bitonio was coming up from the bottom of a pileup following the fumble. But that didn’t stop the speculation on what could be going on behind the scenes with Watson. “Bitonio thinking I can get up. No problem,” another fan said. “Don’t need your help. Just get rid of the ball quicker.” Watson is a polarizing topic for the Browns. They gave up three first-round picks to land him and handed Watson a $230 million fully guaranteed contract – still the only of its kind among quarterbacks. Another problem for Watson is that 39-year-old Joe Flacco came off his couch last year and has success with the Browns. Flacco passed for 1,616 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions with the Browns over five games. He earned Comeback Player of the Year honors and helped the Browns lock up a playoff berth. “Deshaun Watson looks like a shell of his old self,” former NFL QB Chase Daniel wrote on X. “At what point do you go with one of the backups? And at what point do they regret letting go of Joe Flacco?” Watson and the Browns have a chance to bounce back next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
