The Brisbane Lions will unveil their first AFLW debutant for this season with Sophie Peters set to run out against Collingwood on Friday night.

The Brisbane Lions will unveil their first AFLW debutant for this season with Sophie Peters set to run out against Collingwood on Friday night.

Peters, who hails from the Sunshine Coast and is also a Lions Academy product was selected with pick 21 in the 2023 AFLW Draft.

Foundation Lion, Kate Lutkins has been omitted, after playing Weeks 1 and 2, following a return from the birth of her daughter Riley in 2023.

The remainder of the Lions side, which picked up their first win over Melbourne in Week 2, remains the same as they look to make it two wins on the trot against the Pies.

Friday night’s Week 2 clash against Collingwood, is scheduled for 5:05pm at Brighton Homes Arena, with the match broadcast live on 7Mate, Fox Footy and Kayo.
