Raiders-Ravens inactives: Jackson Powers-Johnson is not playing
Las Vegas Raiders rookie guard Jackson Powers-Johnson is inactive Sunday for their Week 2 game at the Baltimore Ravens. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. PT.
Friday, Las Vegas coach Antonio Pierce said the second-round pick would be a game-time decision to play. He was ill last week and was inactive against the Chargers and he has been limited in practice all week. He has been dealing with health issues since the offseason sessions. The team is hopeful the Oregon product can quickly compete with free-agent addition Cody Whitehair at left guard.
Friday, 2023 first-round pick Tyree Wilson was ruled out for the game. Wilson hasn’t practiced since he departed Sunday’s 22-10 Week 1 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers with a knee injury.
Monday, NFL Media reported Wilson has a knee sprain, but it’s not expected to be long-term. The Raiders are also without starting defensive end Malcolm Koonce, who is on the injured reserve with a knee injury and he will miss, at least, three more games and ESPN has reported he could be out for the season.
