Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans react to season opener victory over Commanders
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans are celebrating a season opener win on Sunday after defeating the Washington Commanders 37-20. Now, fans hope to keep that momentum going.
From tailgating to chanting in the stands, the energy was high. As you can imagine, fans had plenty to say regarding the Bucs’ performance.
Tailgaters and fans packed the parking lot at Raymond James to cheer on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“I have a Mike Evans jersey, he signed it, and I will put it on for the game,” a tailgater said.
Evans, the team’s veteran and star wide receiver, is once again in the spotlight for some fans, who aren’t shy about showing their loyalty.
With fans confident in the team’s chances predictions were flying for Sunday’s matchup against the Commanders.
“I will go 34-17 with the Commanders,” a Washington Commanders fan predicted.
Commanders fans were optimistic, but of course, the Bucs took care of business on their home turf.
“Since our quarterback had the word Baker in it, I just thought why not dress up as a Baker, he was baking some touchdowns today,” a fan dressed as a Baker said.
Whether it’s some fan’s first game or they’ve been season ticket holders for years, they are ready for what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
