Jayden Daniels’ secret comes to light: Internet sleuth reveals the Commanders’ QB’s secret advantage
Jayden Daniels arrived in the NFL with great fanfare. Selected by the Washington Commanders with the second overall pick in the 2024 Draft, the quarterback arrived fresh off a 4,000-yard season with the LSU Tigers, thanks to an unexpected ally, a well-known sports influencer recently revealed.
Daniels was a phenomenon during his time in college football. In five years in NCAA Division I, the quarterback accumulated 12,749 yards by completing 953 passes in 1,438 attempts, 89 for touchdowns.
His senior year at LSU was the best of his career, with 236 completions on 327 attempts, 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. His ability to run away on the ground when he can’t find receivers makes him a dual threat, as evidenced by the 3,307 yards, 617 carries, and 34 touchdowns he racked up in his college career.
Daniels’ accomplishments are no fluke. Like any professional athlete, the Commanders quarterback spends hours working out in the gym and practicing on the field. However, influencer Frank Smith recently revealed that Daniels has an ally straight out of science fiction.
In a video on his Instagram account, Smith revealed that the Commanders invested in a state-of-the-art virtual reality system for Daniels. The system allows the quarterback to continue training off the field without increasing the physical load on his body.
According to Smith, Daniels had already talked about this novel training method during an interview with former receiver and analyst Keyshawn Johnson. In the conversation with Johnson, the Washington signal-caller compared this system to the mental repetitions that other quarterbacks do.
In his video, Smith explained that the Commanders loaded almost their entire playbook into Daniels’ VR system. This way, the player can go over all the plays in a controlled indoor environment, extending his practice period.
Smith revealed that this system is not new to Daniels. The quarterback had been using it since his days atLSU, and the influencer revealed it helped the QB achieve those extraordinary numbers in his last year of eligibility.
