NRL Judiciary Report: No charge for Munster following GF

The match review committee has announced on Monday morning that there were no charges arising from the 2024 NRL grand final.

Storm players Cameron Munster and Alec MacDonald were placed on report during the decider but neither has been charged.

Munster went on report in the 75th minute when Panthers centre Paul Alamoti made an allegation of biting, while MacDonald was placed on report in the 78th minute after making late contact with Nathan Cleary after he had kicked the ball.

Storm forward Nelson Asofa-Solomona missed the grand final after being found guilty of a Grade 3 Careless High Tackle at the judiciary on the Monday before the game.

Asofa-Solomona had been facing a four-game ban with an early guilty plea but went to the judiciary seeking a downgrade to a Grade 1 in an attempt to be available for the grand final.

He will now be suspended for five matches.

Sharks forward Toby Rudolf is set to miss the 2025 season opener in Las Vegas after being banned for one game for tripping Panthers captain Isaah Yeo in Saturday night’s preliminary final.

Rudolf was charged with Grade 2 Dangerous Contact for the seventh-minute trip and accepted a one-match ban with an early guilty plea.

With Cronulla’s season officially ending after the 26-6 loss to Penrith in the prelim final, the next match for Rudolf to serve the suspension will be in the opening round of next year’s premiership, which kicks off at Allegiant Stadium on March 1.

The Sharks face the Panthers in Vegas, while the Raiders play the Warriors as part of a quadruple header including a women’s Test between Australia and England and the clash of Super League giants Wigan and Warrington.
