University of Georgia signal caller Jaden Rashada is reportedly entering the transfer portal. It represents his latest school switch in what’s become a trend across his college career.
Rashada will be searching for his fourth home in three years. It’s just the latest twist in what’s been a wild NCAA recruitment.
The Bulldogs’ reserve quarterback initially signed with the Florida Gators as a high school prospect. That came after a late flip from rival Miami with a notable NIL offer weighing heavily into that commitment decision.
The Gators reportedly offered a package valued at $13.85 million. Unfortunately, they reneged when he arrived on campus, which later resulted in a lawsuit from Rashada’s camp.
The passer asked out of his letter of intent before ever suiting up for the Gators, eventually signing with Arizona State. After one season in Tempe, he transferred to Georgia.
Jaden Rashada didn’t see the field in Athens as he sat behind Carson Beck and Gunner Stockton on the depth chart. He could now be seeking a destination that offers a bit more playing time.
Rashada will be entering the transfer portal according to Pete Thamel of ESPN. It will be interesting to see which programs are interested.
Rashada’s recruitment has been an absolute whirlwind. For one reason or another, he’s yet to find the right fit. He’ll look to do so on his fourth try this offseason.
A former four-star prospect, there’s bound to be someone that will take the risk of a quick exit in exchange for those highly touted talents. Time will tell on where Rashada ends up. You’d have to imagine playing time will be the biggest attraction at his next stop.
