Everton set for Ivanovic bidding war as new £8.6m bid made to seal striker transfer

Everton have emerged as a potential suitor for Millwall’s Mihailo Ivanovic this summer.

The Serbian striker notched 12 Championship goals last term in what was his first season in English football, helping Alex Neil’s side to mount an unexpected play-off push.

Ivanovic’s exploits have caught the eye of Everton, who are keen to add him to their squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.

David Moyes will be keen to add to his attacking ranks with Beto’s future still up in the air, and the Millwall youngster could be the perfect option.

Everton ready for bidding war as Parma make £8.6m bid

Everton have already secured the signing of Thierno Barry, but now they are hopeful of also adding Ivanovic to their attacking options.

The 20-year-old outlined himself as one of the EFL’s most promising young talents last season, and he now seems destined to take on a new challenge this term.

Serie A side Parma are understood to have already made a bid of £8.6million for the Millwall man, according to the print edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (12 July, pg. 29).

The South London outfit are keen to spark a bidding war for their star, and have placed an asking price of £13.8m on Ivanovic, amid further interest from Everton and Newcastle.

However, Parma are believed to be reluctant to fight the Premier League duo for the frontman’s signature, which presents the perfect opportunity for the Toffees to swoop in and secure a quick deal if they are prepared to meet Millwall’s valuation.

Everton should do everything they can to sign Ivanovic

Moyes and Co. seem keen to explore the Championship market this summer, as they have also shown an interest in Sheffield United ‘keeper Michael Cooper in recent weeks.

There are several exciting stars emerging from the second tier at present, and Ivanovic is firmly among them.

He led the line effectively for the Lions in 2024/25 and possesses excellent movement and link-up play, as well as having a natural eye for goal.

The Toffees likely already have their first-choice striker in Barry, but that could give them a good chance to slowly introduce Ivanovic into Premier League football if they could land him.

He wouldn’t cost a significant fee, and Barry’s arrival would alleviate some of the pressure that would otherwise have been on him to immediately hit the ground running in the top flight.

Everton will have to move quickly if they want to get Ivanovic in, but he would certainly be a shrewd addition if they could get a deal over the line.

Everton given warning ahead of John McGinn transfer

Everton have been linked with a move for Aston Villa attacking midfielder John McGinn this summer.

Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, assessed his hamstring and thigh issues last season ahead of a potential transfer.

The 30-year-old still managed to play 34 out of 38 Premier League games in the 2024/25 campaign.

McGinn’s hamstring and thigh injuries may be a concern

The Toffees are likely to consider the Scotland international’s hamstring and thigh issues before making a decision to sign him, according to Dr Brar.
