Bournemouth approach Lucas Beraldo as Liverpool and Chelsea offered PSG defender
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Bournemouth have asked Paris Saint-Germain about Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo.
The Brazil international could be available this summer – he has been linked with a departure from the Parc Des Princes as Luis Enrique looks to rework parts of his squad.
Beraldo was a constant in PSG’s league campaign, but barely saw any action in their famed Champions League success, with Willian Pacho ahead of him in the pecking order.
Now, Beraldo’s people are doing work on potential options with PSG understood to be open to offers and they are approaching a number of clubs in England.
These include Liverpool and Chelsea, who were keen on Beraldo before his move from Sao Paulo in early 2024.
Bournemouth are still looking to replace Huijsen and have an interest in a number of players – and we can confirm Beraldo is one they are interested in.

Illia Zabarnyi snubs Liverpool as Bournemouth talks with PSG hit stumbling block
It is understood that any interest in Beraldo would be separate from PSG’s ongoing interest in Zabarnyi.
Zabarnyi has confirmed his desire to move to the French capital and personal terms have been agreed.
Indeed, he has shunned prospective interest from England with Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle all showing an interest – but he is committed to PSG.
Bournemouth are refusing to drop their asking price of £60million for the Ukraine international, while PSG’s highest offer thus far is £55million.

Jose Mourinho plots offer for Marcus Tavernier as Newcastle and West Ham circle
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Jose Mourinho has made enquiries for the Bournemouth winger as the club prepares an offer for the 26-year-old.
However, they face competition from two Premier League clubs so far. TBR Football previously reported that West Ham made a move for Tavernier last month as they hunt for a replacement for Mohammed Kudus.
TBR Football also previously reported Newcastle’s interest in Tavernier, with the Magpies reportedly keeping tabs on the player.
As per the sources, Bournemouth consider him a key performer under Andoni Iraola but are aware of the mounting interest.
The Cherries paid Middlesbrough less than £15million for Tavernier in 2022 and they will more than double their money on him, if they allow him to leave the Vitality Stadium.
Former Bournemouth manager Gary O’Neil on Marcus Tavernier
Former Bournemouth manager Gary O’Neil has previously hailed Tavernier for his impact as a super sub at that time.
The player played under O’Neil in the 2022/23 season, making 19 appearances in the Premier League, scoring five and assisting four.
