Tottenham locked in four-way transfer fight for £26m striker, as Nottingham Forest rival
Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to monitor a prolific French striker, but they face competition for his services from a Premier League side as well as two other European clubs.
Thomas Frank has hinted that Richarlison might stay at Tottenham, but that has not stopped speculation linking various number nines with a move to Spurs.
One man who has been mooted as a target for Tottenham since the start of the summer is Rennes star Arnaud Kalimuendo, who scored 18 goals and provided four assists across all competitions last season.
Some sources have claimed over recent weeks that Tottenham would have to pay £26m to land Kalimuendo, but a new update from France suggested at least three other clubs also want the 23-year-old.

Tottenham are facing intense competition for Arnaud Kalimuendo
RMC Sport have now revealed that the race for the Rennes star is now heating up, with several clubs around the continent showing interest in his services.
While the outlet confirms that Tottenham are fans of Kalimuendo, it is revealed that Spurs have to see off competition from Villarreal, RB Leipzig, and Nottingham Forest to land the player.
The report also warns that more clubs could soon enter the race for the centre-forward, raising the possibility that he could become one of the most hotly contested signings of the summer.
It is revealed that Rennes are ready to sell the Frenchman for a fee of around €30m-€35m (£26m-£30.3m), and they have already started looking for a replacement, which suggests that they expect him to leave.
Who are the other strikers Tottenham are looking at?
Tottenham were credited with an interest in Yoane Wissa a few weeks ago, but over the last week, several sources have claimed that Spurs’ interest in the Brentford star has cooled.
Over the last few days, some sources have claimed that Tottenham could be handed a chance to sign Randal Kolo Muani as the PSG star’s move to Juventus has now stalled.
However, one would think that Spurs’ move for a number nine would ultimately depend on the future of Richarlison, who is allegedly keen to stay in North London.

Tottenham Hotspur receive Marc Guehi lifeline after David Ornstein upda
Tottenham’s path towards landing Marc Guehi may have just cleared up a little following David Ornstein’s big transfer update regarding the Crystal Palace man.
Thomas Frank is certainly not short of options at centre-back, but over the last week, it has become clear that the Lilywhites are continuing to scour the market for central defenders.
Tottenham have allegedly made a bid of €70m (£60.6m) for Illiya Zabarnyi, but the Bournemouth man is not the only Premier League centre-back Frank’s men are eyeing.
According to a recent update by The Telegraph, Spurs still remain interested in Marc Guehi, who has just a year left on his contract at Crystal Palace.

Liverpool make Marc Guehi decision amid Tottenham links
Earlier this summer, it looked like Spurs were outsiders in the race for the Palace star, with Liverpool emerging as the front-runners to land Guehi.
However, David Ornstein has now revealed that the Reds are hesitant to pay a big fee for the Eagles captain and are now considering moving for other alternatives instead.
The journalist said on The Athletic’s Transfer DealSheet: “Liverpool need to recruit a new centre-half with the imminent exit of Quansah and are looking at many candidates.
“As reported last week, Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is a player under consideration, but with just one year remaining on his contract, Liverpool will only firm up their interest if the price is right.
“Nottingham Forest’s Murillo is admired but is likely to be too expensive, so sporting director Richard Hughes is looking at other young centre-halves.”
How much would Guehi cost this summer?
We know the North Londoners are ready to spend big on the England international based on the fact that Tottenham put in a £70m bid for Guehi during the January window.
Some sources have claimed that Guehi could be available for £50m this summer after refusing to sign a new deal at Selhurst Park.
However, it is unclear if the 24-year-old would be open to a move to N17. It was claimed by The Times last month that Guehi had rejected Tottenham’s advances.
