Premier League rivals now attempting to beat Everton to midfield ‘revelation’, talks ongoing
Everton need to add a significant number of players to their squad this summer.
Considering the task at hand, Everton have had a fairly slow start to the summer transfer window.
David Moyes is publicly demanding more signings, with the clock now ticking to the curtain raiser against Leeds United.
Everton have now landed in the United States for their pre-season tour, and there are only two new faces for the 62-year-old to select.
Adding to Moyes’ frustrations, Jarrad Branthwaite has missed Everton’s USA tour through injury.
It is proving far from the ideal preparations for the Blues, with Angus Kinnear needing to get to work ahead of the new season starting.
As if Kinnear’s job wasn’t difficult enough, the former Leeds man is now facing competition from a Premier League rival for a long-term Everton target.

Everton face Fulham battle for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
For a number of months now, Everton have had an eye on Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The Englishman now looks set to leave Stamford Bridge, with the spending in west London not slowing down any time soon.
According to Sky Sports, Fulham are set to offer the midfielder an opportunity to join Chelsea’s rivals this summer.
It is understood that an approach has not been made yet to Chelsea. Fulham have explored both a loan and permanent deal.
Dewsbury-Hall still has a number of years remaining on his deal, but room is going to have to be made in Enzo Maresca’s bloated squad.
Chelsea have made Dewsbury-Hall available for sale this summer.
And midfield is an area which Everton are still looking to strengthen despite having brought in Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent deal.

What Brendan Rodgers has said about Dewsbury-Hall
Despite winning two trophies during his time at Chelsea, Dewsbury-Hall’s career has hit the rocks in west London.
The midfielder left Leicester City and is now struggling for regular minutes.
It looks as if he will have to depart this summer to secure himself game time in the Premier League.
And that will come as a shock to his former manager Brendan Rodgers, who had a lot of positive things to say about the midfielder.
“What’s very important for him is to keep proving his point and he needs to find consistency. He has certainly done that since he has come into the team and he’s been a revelation for us.” he said.
If Everton are going to land their long-term target, Kinnear is going to have to intervene in Fulham’s talks.
£29m Chelsea star makes transfer preference clear after Everton interest
Everton are in desperate need of signings with the Premier League opener just under four weeks away.
Currently, David Moyes has just 17 players who have Premier League experience in his squad, and drastic changes are needed.
This figure needs to increase by at least six, and Everton fans are worried about four players being signed.
The Friedkin Group needed to act quicker earlier in the summer as Everton’s £100m budget has hardly been touched.
Now, another target has labelled their preference, and fans will be praying a player has finally sided with an Everton move.

Chelsea star Carney Chukwuemeka’s preference after Everton interest
Carney Chukwuemeka has been on Everton’s radar for some time now.
The interest really began when Moyes came through the door, as the Scotsman appears to be a big fan of the 21-year-old.
Chukwuemeka was open to joining Everton in January, but now that ship has sailed, a summer move could be on the cards once again.
It’s been made clear that Enzo Maresca isn’t interested in Chukwuemeka, but it seems as though the midfielder isn’t keen on Everton, as another club is in the way.
The 21-year-old had a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund in the second half of the season, and Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath has now been saying he is ‘prioritising’ a move back to Dortmund this summer.
