Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes during the summer transfer window.
According to Fichajes, Tottenham have now accelerated negotiations to sign the 24-year-old, and they could submit a firm offer soon.
Spurs move could be ideal for the player
The player has been linked with a move away from the Spanish club due to the lack of regular playing time, and a move to Tottenham could be interesting for him. They will be able to provide him with more opportunities, and he could help them improve going forward.
The move would be ideal for all parties. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can convince Real Madrid with an acceptable offer.
They need more cutting edge in the final third, and the 24-year-old is capable of slotting into multiple attacking roles. He can operate as a centre forward as well as a wide player. He will look to add goals and creativity to the side. He scored 14 goals last season, and picked up 11 assists.
The Brazilian is still young enough to improve further, and he could develop into a world-class player for Tottenham with the right guidance. Regular football in the Premier League could bring out the best in him and help him fulfil his potential.
He will not want to sit on the bench at Real Madrid next season, especially with the World Cup coming up. The player wants to play regularly, and Tottenham could provide him with that platform.
Dominic Solanke has not been able to score goals consistently, and he needs more support in the attack. The South American could be the ideal acquisition.
Apart from his abilities as a footballer, his winning experience could prove to be invaluable as well. He has won several major trophies with Real Madrid.
Club ‘present proposal’ to Tottenham player as meeting planned with Thomas Frank
Tottenham will let one of their key players decide if he wants to leave the club this summer, and that player has now received an offer. Spurs are in the midst of a pivotal summer as they prepare to begin life under Thomas Frank.

Frank will get the chance to put his own stamp on his new squad, and he has already been handed Mohammed Kudus, while the Morgan Gibbs-White deal hangs in the balance due to legal issues.
Spurs are likely to spend a significant amount of money this summer as they look to turn a team that finished deep in the bottom half of the Premier League into one capable of competing for European qualification while also giving a good account of themselves in the Champions League.
Injuries played a big part last season, but Tottenham do still need more quality and depth if they are going to compete at the top end of the table, especially now that clubs like Aston Villa and Newcastle United are spending so much money each summer.
But some big decisions are going to have to be made about current players as new players arrive, and there is perhaps none bigger than the one facing club legend Heung-min Son. The South Korean veteran is now 33 years of age, and while he signed a one-year extension to keep him at the club until the summer of 2026, he may decide that this is the right time to move elsewhere to play regular football and cash in on his commercial profile.
One way to do that is to make the move to MLS, and it’s now being reported by Fabrizio Romano that LAFC have presented their proposal to Son. He posted on x: “LAFC have already presented their initial proposal to Heung-min Son as the new star of their project. Decision up to Son as he will speak to Thomas Frank and clarify his future as soon as possible. Spurs will let Son decide about his next step.”
Frank admission
Speaking last weekend, Spurs boss Frank said when asked about Son’s future: “Sonny, been here 10 years, finally got his his well deserved trophy in the summer. So important for the team and the club. Cristian Romero, World Cup winner, Europa League winner, Copa America winner, very, very important for us as well. Both have trained well, setting the standards out there on the training pitch and both will play [against Reading] so I’m very happy.
“My expectation is all the players are here and they are training well. That is what I am focusing on and again very impressed by them. They set the standards and train hard. As I said, they are playing tomorrow, that’s a good indicator that they are here.”
On the captaincy, which Son currently holds, Frank continued: “I haven’t decided anything on [the captaincy]. I have a long list of bullet points I need to get through and I take them in the right order. He was the captain last year and when we play two 45s [at Reading], Son and Romero will be the two captains, but I haven’t made a final decision.”
