Heartbreaking news: Chicago Bulls just suspended 2 players and a coach due….

Chicago Bulls’ Lonzo Ball Drops Major Fitness Update

Lonzo Ball will make history the next time he steps foot on a basketball court. It is believed that no athlete has ever returned to high-level competition after undergoing the surgery that the Chicago Bulls guard has had. There have been so many setbacks along the way that one cannot be certain that the return will indeed happen. But judging from Ball’s comments at media day, it is very much the plan.

Not only that, it is being pencilled for opening night. According to CBS Sports, Ball said: “That’s the goal, obviously we can’t really tell the future, but that’s the plan I’m on.

Bulls’ executive vice president of basketball operations, Arturas Karnisovas, also stated that Ball returning on opening night was the plan.

Ball also recognizes that his game will have to change. He is bound to lose some athleticism but is hoping to make up for it with his skill and basketball IQ. The Bulls player said: “Obviously I’m not going to be as athletic as I once was before, but I feel like skill and IQ can go a long way, especially in the league. “I’m not too worried about it, obviously my game’s going to have to change a little bit, but I still know how to play the game and I think I can play at a high level.” The last time Ball played in the NBA was back on January 14, 2022. That feels like a lifetime ago. For the Bulls, it might as well be.

Back when Ball was playing for the Bulls, they were looking like one of the top contenders in the East. The story is very different now. This summer, the Bulls have said goodbye to DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso, arguably their two most important players. On the other hand, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic are believed to be available as well although trade interest for them does not seem very high right now.
