Am leaving: Haiden Deegan just announce his leaving due to his condition….

T-Dog’s Takes: Can Y’all Leave Haiden Deegan and the MXoN Alone?

Troy Dog joined the bLU cRU and you should too! Have you seen the new 2025 Monster Energy Racing editions? Go look right now! It’s amazing. Yamaha also supports T-Dog Squad ELITE Athlete Marshal Weltin. Purchase a Yamaha today and shred like him, Eli Tomac, Cooper Webb, 250 Pro Motocross and two-time 250SMX Champion Haiden Deegan, plus more!

Before we get too far into this, I know what this looks like. This is a Yamaha sponsored column and you may think that I’m bought and paid for to protect Yamaha and their athletes.

The truth is…I’m not. (Unless they want to pay me Deegan money, then I’m so in). I’m kidding…..(I’m not.)

If you’ve been reading this opinionated column for the past three years or so, thank you. You’ll know that no one is safe and my opinions are very thought out and I give good reasons as to why I think a certain way. My goal is to make you think through the entire situation presented before you and whether you agree with my point of view or not, at least I made you think.

Today I think it’s finally time to officially leave Haiden Deegan alone on this Team USA deal. Clearly Danger Boy will forever be hated or loved by you people out there and his every move will be picked on and rediculed no matter what. He’s in a spotlight, I know how the game works, but he’s also controversial and brings most of this on himself.

Yet, the ship has sailed. HE WILL NOT BE ON TEAM USA FOR THE MXoN THIS YEAR AND THAT’S OKAY!

Sure, Deegan wasn’t transparent about his wrist injury before the East Region started this season, but he’s since owned that. He was on the Title 24 Podcast with Ryan Villopoto and Ricky Carmichael this week to talk about that issue plus more.

Once Deegan opened up about the injury he made it very clear to the media in interviews and press conferences that he had to get the screw out of his wrist right after the SMX Playoffs to come into the 2025 season healthy. He wasn’t going to race the Motocross of Nations.

So, like cool…right? Deegan will live and learn. He actually owned up to why he hid the wrist injury in a comment on Instagram yesterday, saying something along the lines of, ‘when you go for a championship you’ll understand’, or something like that. I’ve looked and can’t find the actual comment now, but it was there.

The mind games of Haiden Deegan will continue and whether you love him or hate him, it doesn’t seem like he really cares. Deegan will continue to make the best decisions that he can with the team around him. Will they always be the right decisions? No, no one is perfect…but at the end of the day he’s an 18-year-old kid. We need to remember that.
