News now: Connor McDavid officially announce the departure of Vegas Golden Knights team

The Vegas Golden Knights are trolling the Edmonton Oilers right now

Have you ever had someone mess with you the same way the Vegas Golden Knights are messing with the Edmonton Oilers? Imagine having a friend who plays games with you, taking your phone or giving you a wet willy. It’s the most irritating feeling, leaving you mentally frazzled. The Golden Knights gave Edmonton an ol’ slobbery finger in the ear by claiming Raphael Lavoie off waivers.

First, the Oilers placed the young forward on waivers on October 6. Then, the Vegas Golden Knights claim him the next day, only to place him on waivers the next day. On October 9, Edmonton reclaimed him, only to put Lavoie on waivers (again). Guess who was the only team to submit a claim and assign him to the AHL club on Friday? You guessed it, much to the chagrin of half of Alberta.

Aside from the reaction above from Oilers fans over the troll job, Kelly McCrimmon and company immediately assigned him to the Henderson Silver Knights. It ended the neverending saga of a minor league player who played seven career games with last season’s Western Conference champions. Their divisional rivals emerged victorious, frustrating the Canadian neighbors.

First, let’s learn more about Lavoie and what he does. How will the young forward fit in with his new club? Is there potential for him to crack the NHL roster, where he could get ice time? Would he get a shot against his former team and score a goal? There’s nothing more satisfying than some schadenfreude against a hated rival, especially when you’ve won a Stanley Cup more recently than them.
