Arch Manning’s heartfelt tribute to his old high school team
He is still giving his old teamates and coaches props
While he has not been taking a lot of snaps as of late, Arch Manning is still recognizing what his former coaches and teammates are doing in High School. Despite being now in college football, he gave them props.
The Texas Longhorns quarterback was paying attention to Newman, as they destroyed Country Day 42-7 as their running back had an incredible day on the field. On Friday night he gave a shoutout to his alma mater on his Instagram Stories.
Running back Jake Randle had five touchdowns in the game and Manning re-shared what the Newman Athletics social media page posted and the signal caller captioned his story “Slide 4 @jran1_”.
After Quinn Ewers got injured, Arch Manning got some playing time this year and for the most part he looked good but it was evident that he has some things he needs to work on before taking over the starting job.
While it seems that Ewers could stay for one more year, Manning still needs to show strides of improvement for him to solid as QB1. There is no doubt that he is in line after Ewers but many believed he could have played more.
To a lot of experts, coming off from high school, Manning could have been the starter, but Ewers has showed why he remain the main guy for the Longhorns. Texas still has a huge opportunity looking to get into the college football playoff and Manning will be ready if needed.
