According to the Mirror, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle changed their son Archie’s birth certificate in a subtle but significant way. Instead of using Meghan’s given name, “Rachel Meghan,” they used her title, “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex.”
Archie was born on May 6, 2019, and his birth was officially recorded 11 days later on June 5. This change has been observed in light of the reported split in the Royal family, specifically between Prince Harry and his brother Prince William and their spouses.
The Sun speculated that since Kate’s name appears on her children’s birth certificates, this might be interpreted as a slight against the Prince and Princess of Wales, who are currently coping with her cancer diagnosis.
According to the Daily Record, some see Harry’s action as an attempt to compare Meghan to his late mother, Princess Diana, who was known as “Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales.”
