Barcelona start season against Valencia, 2024-25 Clasico dates confirmed

Barcelona will start the new 2024-25 La Liga season with a trip to Mestalla to take on Valencia on August 18th. Defending champions Real Madrid open up away at Real Mallorca.

The fixtures for the new season were released on Tuesday, with the two Clasico dates also now scheduled.

Barcelona will meet Real Madrid for the first time in the new campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu on October 27. The return is set for May 11 at the renovated Camp Nou.

After opening against Valencia, Barca then enjoy a first home game of the new season against Athletic Club before a trip to Rayo Vallecano. Barca then play host to Real Valladolid ahead of away match at local rivals Girona.

The new season obviously sees Hansi Flick take charge of Barcelona for the first time after replacing Xavi in the dugout. The German will be charged with bringing silverware back to the club after a trophyless campaign last time out.
