In high school football news, some sad news, as former Pamlico County Head Football Coach Dave Perrine has died.
Perrine coached the Hurricanes in 2021 and was an assistant coach and an E-C teacher for 30 years of his career.
Perrine leaves behind a wife and two sons.
He is the second long-time coach in the area to recently pass away, along with Greg Hampton, of Jones Senior, who passed in Dec. of 2023.
