Since the beginning of the 2019 season these two teams have met on six occasions with each taking three wins a piece.
The Bulldogs had the most recent success with a victory in Round 9 last year 79-59. Prior to that the winning team has alternated each year.

The Bulldogs were completely shut out of their game against Port Adelaide last weekend posting their lowest point total of the season whilst giving up the 3rd most points to their opposition this year.
The Western Bulldogs had no answer for an early onslaught from their opponents top line of players who took the ball at will also restricting players like Marcus Bontempelli and Aaron Naughton from getting their usual touches.
They were restricted to only 42 Inside 50’s in the game with a 35.7% Efficiency Rate up forward which is a telling stat for a high scoring team that has had trouble with the ball the last few weeks.

Alex Keath and Cody Weightman will need to pass fitness tests to be available for selection with Aaron Naughton and James O’Donnell still 1-2 weeks away with the AFL’s concussion protocols.
The Blues five game win streak was ended by the GWS Giants last weekend in a game full of momentum swings.
The Blues went up early, dominating the ball and kicking 8 goals off 12 scoring shots in the 1st quarter posting the highest first quarter total of any team this year. 
Their opponent then took control of the game and blitzed the Blues kicking 15 of the next 20 goals in the match.
Carlton had trouble containing the Giants with their opposition passing the ball around and taking their opportunities through Uncontested Possessions and Marks Inside 50.
Carlton Team News
Tom De Koning and Jacob Weitering both sustained minor injuries in the loss to the Giants and will need to get through training this week to be selected.
Hudson O’Keefe and Jack Martin are both likely to return but possibly through the VFL.
