NBA 2K25 Summer League: Heat roll behind Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware
Heat rookie Kel’el Ware racks up a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double as Miami rolls at the NBA 2K25 Summer League.
LAS VEGAS – The Miami Heat defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 102-73, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Cox Pavilion on Monday.
While Oklahoma City got out to a 10-point lead in the second quarter, Miami outscored the Thunder in that frame, 23-13, to take control of this game. The Heat never gave up the lead after that, riding a 61-40 second half to this blowout victory. The Heat shot 48.6% from the field and 50% from 3-point range while holding the Thunder to 35.5% from the field and 21.2% from long range. Miami also out-assisted OKC, 21-12.
The Thunder (0-2) were led by Ajay Mitchell, accruing 21 points, two rebounds and five assists. Adam Flagler had 20 points, three rebounds and two assists. Dillon Jones amassed 11 points, six rebounds and three assists.
The Heat (2-0) were led by Jaime Jaquez Jr., who finished with 23 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Josh Christopher led the bench with 23 points, three rebounds and two assists. Keshad Johnson collected 11 points and seven boards, while Kel’el Ware compiled 11 points and 12 boards.
Both teams return to action on Wednesday, with Miami matching up with the Dallas Mavericks and OKC playing the Phoenix Suns.
