“My experience [at Summer League] was awesome – to be able to be in that environment soaking up advice and knowledge from the highest level was an experience I’ll never forget.”
Sydney Kings recruit Tyler Robertson has just wrapped up his first NBA Summer League and believes his time in Las Vegas has been extremely beneficial.
Robertson, who signed on with the Kings in April, lined up with the Washington Wizards for the July 12-22 tournament and thoroughly enjoyed his experience and expanding his game.
“My experience [at Summer League] was awesome – to be able to be in that environment soaking up advice and knowledge from the highest level was an experience I’ll never forget,” said Robertson, whose best performance in Vegas came against the Bucks to the tune of two points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal.
“[In particular] stepping onto the [NBA] court was such a cool experience for me – playing against people you see on tv or playing against coaches you’ve seen for so long, was such a blessing.”

The Portland alum is confident the experience in the United States will help make his first season in the Hoops Capital a successful one.
“I believe the experience made me a better player by seeing what it takes to be in that realm moving forward and learning was the biggest thing,” said Robertson, who enjoyed the challenge of adjusting to the speed and athleticism of the competition.
“Seeking advice and feedback on ways to improve my game while immersing myself in the experience is still something I pinch myself at being able to do.”
The other King that featured in Vegas was two-time champion Jaylin Galloway, who lined up for the Bucks in all five of their fixtures.
