Trailer Released For Sequel To Cult Heavy Metal Comedy ‘Heavy Trip’

The first trailer for “Heavier Trip – Road To Wacken,” the sequel to the cult Finnish heavy metal comedy “Heavy Trip,” has been released. The film continues the story of the underground blackened death metal band IMPALED REKTUM, following their chaotic journey from jail to performing at Germany’s Wacken Open Air festival.

Doppelgänger Releasing has acquired North American distribution rights, with a release scheduled for November. The original “Heavy Trip,” released in 2018, became a cult hit despite a poor initial reception in Finland. The sequel promises higher production values and features music by Mika Lammassaari and YEAR OF THE GOAT.
