In a video posted by Durant’s media company Boardroom, Durant was joined alongside New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner to play NBA 2K25 early and discuss a variety of topics mostly centered around the video game, but also ranging to different subjects in the NBA, NFL and Olympics
During the video, Durant was asked what his ideal starting lineup in NBA 2K would be.
“I’d probably go with Luka (Doncic) at the point,” Durant said. “Luke, me, (LeBron James), (Joel) Embiid at my five, because Embiid can shoot the three better than (Nikola) Jokic on the game. Who are my snipes? Who gonna be my fourth man? You gotta go with somebody like Klay (Thompson). He’s 6-7, he’s shooting that thing like that. Yeah. I would go Luka, Klay, me, Bron, Embiid.”
Durant did not include any of his Suns teammates on this list, even choosing Thompson over Devin Booker, but did play with Phoenix in the video, beating Gardner, who used the Dallas Mavericks with Doncic and Thompson, 52-40. The biggest name people felt Durant left off the list was hiss former Golden State Warriors teammate Stephen Curry.
