Norwood will be aiming to lift the SANFL Premiership Cup for the 32nd time when it takes to Adelaide Oval for this Sunday’s Grand Final.
The Redlegs face Glenelg in the decider, which will get underway from 2:30pm on Sunday, September 22. Norwood is also involved in the Reserves Grand Final, taking on Sturt from 11am.
It’s the third time Norwood has played Glenelg in a SANFL Grand Final, but the first time in 42 years when the Redlegs won the 1982 Premiership by 62 points.
The Redlegs won the Minor Premiership and will be looking to make it two Premierships in three years (last winning in 2022), while the Tigers are searching for back to back titles.

Panos injured his left knee in Norwood’s Round 4 SANFL match against Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval in April, leaving him stranded on 149 League matches.
He will be aiming for his third SANFL Premiership this Sunday, having been a part of Norwood’s 2014 and 2022 Grand Final victories.
Dubbed “The King”, Panos has made a name for himself on Grand Final day, winning the Jack Oatey Medal in 2014, and kicking the match winner in 2022 to put the Redlegs in front in the dying stages of the game.
Norwood named an extended 25-man Grand Final squad on Thursday evening. Panos, Tom Graham and Jayden Gale have been named as inclusions on an extended bench.
Norwood captain Jacob Kennerley said he and his side were well prepared for the Grand Final.
“We’re feeling good,” he said.
“We have had a couple of extra weeks to think about it and prepare. I have been so proud of the group this year, led by Twig (coach Jade Rawlings) and the club as a whole we have attacked this year really well since preseason began.
“We have put in all the work that leads to this Sunday’s game so we are ready for it.”
Norwood defeated Central District by 59 points in the Semi Final on September 8 to go straight through to the 2024 decider, while the Tigers (who finished fourth) won the Elimination Final by 71 points (Eagles), Semi Final by 31 points (Sturt) and Preliminary Final by 38 points (Bulldogs).
