The Steelers’ top wide receiver returns to practice.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Diontae Johnson, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ best wide receiver, has returned to practice and is expected to play against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13. Johnson was unable to participate in the team’s second day of practice due to illness. According to a SteelersNow video, he returned on Friday. With his return to the field expected before the weekend, he should be able to play alongside the rest of the team against the Cardinals.
The Steelers are in good shape at this stage in the season. Minkah Fitzpatrick and Montravius Adams will return against the Cardinals, and Calvin Austin (ankle) and Allen Robinson (foot) are both expected to play despite missing practice this week.
Pittsburgh’s offense is coming off its first 400-yard game in 59 games, and with Johnson on the field, the team should build on their recent success under interim offensive coordinator Eddie Faulkner and play-caller Mike Sullivan.
