Aaron Naughton, a standout player for the Western Bulldogs, inks a startling eight-year AFL contract extension.

Aaron Naughton, a key forward for the Western Bulldogs, has agreed to an eight-year contract extension, meaning he will play his last games for just one side in the Australian Football League.
Naughton’s current contract with the Bulldogs is set to expire at the end of the 2032 season, with one year left on it.

“Signing is a special moment for me, especially because of my family,” Naughton, who turns 24 in a month, stated.

“I want my teammates to know that I am in this with them, so I plan to sign a long-term contract and stay here.

Naughton’s signing was hailed as a “exciting day for the club” by Bulldogs general manager of lists and recruiting Sam Power.

“Aaron’s re-signing is another strong showing of confidence in the club’s long-term ambitions and culture,” Power stated.

“As the team tries to get back up the ladder, Aaron remains a key leader among the group, setting the standard both on and off the field.

“We see Aaron as a huge part of the Bulldogs’ future, being only 23 years of age, and we’re delighted our supporters can watch him run out for years to come.”

Naughton made his senior debut the year after joining the Bulldogs through the national draft in 2017.

In 123 games for the Bulldogs, the Western Australian has 191 goals scored with the boot.
