Raiders disregard security Roderic Teamer following his DUI arrest

According to Las Vegas news stations KLAS-TV, Las Vegas Raiders backup safety and special teams player Roderic Teamer was reportedly arrested for drunk driving on Sunday morning in Las Vegas.

The report states that Teamer was pulled over for speeding and then arrested for DUI. Teamer will not play against the Kansas City Chiefs, who are currently atop the AFC West, on Sunday afternoon, the team said on Sunday. The game will begin at 1:25 p.m. PT.

Before his arrest, Teamer was scheduled to play on Sunday after being activated from the injured reserve on Saturday. Teamer’s hamstring issue has kept him out of the last five games. He was a special teams player and backup for the first six games.

Teamer, a 26-year-old, joined Las Vegas in 2021. He has participated in 33 Raiders games, starting five of them (two in 2021, three in 2022). If found guilty of the DUI charges, Teamer might be subject to a brief suspension from the NFL.
