The NFC South opponent Tampa Bay and All-Pro player last season, Nicks, inked a five-year, $47.5 million contract on Wednesday.

In a team statement, Saints general manager Mickey Loomis stated, “Our offensive line has been an integral part of our team’s success on offence over the last six seasons.” “We’re thrilled that Ben will be a member of the New Orleans Saints and believe he will be a fantastic addition to ouroffensive line, as well as our group off the pitch. Ben joins us from a Baltimore offence that was very successful in both pass protection and running the ball. He played a significant role in that, and we are confident that he can seamlessly integrate into our programme. After being selected by the Ravens in the first round in 2007 out of Auburn, Grubbs (6-3, 310) made his debut in the starting lineup in the fifth game of his rookie campaign. Born in Eclectic, Alabama, a little town north of Montgomery, he has started 70 games in five years for Baltimore and was selected for the 2011 AFC Pro Bowl.

In a statement issued by the Saints, Grubbs said, “I view this as a great opportunity to come to New Orleans and such a great organisation.” “Over the past few years, this offense—and the line in particular—have accomplished something genuinely exceptional. Working with such a wonderful bunch of men excites me, and I can’t wait to get started, study the playbook, and get to know this offence and my new squad. The offensive line coaches of the Saints, namely Aaron Kromer and Pete Carmichael, are renowned for developing distinctive game plans that present a challenge and excitement to players every week. I can’t wait to get going, learn about the system, and get to know my teammates.
